Collection: Acne/pimples

Acne skin is affected by daily habits and living environment such as nutritional balance, stress, lack of sleep, and diet high in sugar and oil. There are various causes of acne, but the most common are clogged pores, excessive sebum secretion, and the proliferation of acne bacteria that cause acne. The skin undergoes a cycle of "turnover" in which the keratin peels off and is replaced by new skin cells about every 28 days. Normally, sebum is discharged from the pores along with sweat, but if the turnover does not work properly, the keratin in the pores becomes thicker, the pores become blocked, the sebum becomes clogged, and the acne bacteria that feed on sebum proliferate excessively, causing inflammation and acne.
